Well, I may not have made it past the regional semi-finals in the CBC Searchlight competition, but I'm still incredibly grateful to have made it as far as I did.

The exposure, the opportunity to connect with new fans, and to receive so much support was wonderful. Last week's show at Pressed Cafe was bigger than I could have imagined with 111 people arriving that night! The radio interviews, the kind messages and tweets, the people I had an opportunity to meet last weekend are thanks to the competition. 

I'm so pleased with the reception thus far to my music and can't wait to show what more I can do in the coming months.

I've entered my song "Sunday" in CBC's Searchlight Competition and I'm so excited about the process! Today I was interviewed on CBC Radio One Ottawa's "All in a Day" program with Alan Neal. A snippet of my song "Sunday" was played and I had a chance to talk about the inspiration behind the song.
